වැලි, n. pl. (Sans. බලි), wrinkles, රැළි.

වැඩ·නැති, a. workless, destitute of work; profitless, useless, නිෂ්ප්‍රයෝජන.

වනාන්තරය, n. (වන අන්තරය), forest region, large forest, wilderness.

වාෂ්පය, n. tear, කඳුළ; vapour, මීදුම, humidity, තෙත.

විනය·පිටකය, n. name of one of the B. sacred books, the second of the Three Pitakas relating entirely to the priests. It is divided into five main parts called respectively පාරාජිකා, ප‍චිති, සුළුවග, මහවග and පරිවාර, this last being a summary of the chief doctrines of the other four.

වල්·විදුනාව, n. (වල් tail, විදුනාව fr. ව්‍යජන fan), whisk made of the tail of the yak to drive off flies, චාමරය.

වලඟවන, n. (වල් අඟන), female leopard, දිවිදෙන.

වි·වර·කරනවා, v. t. to cleave, split, පළනවා, fissure, සිදුරක් කරනවා.
