ශිර්‍ෂ·මස්තකය, n. top of the head, vertex, ඉස් මුදුන.

ශුක්ල·මණ්ඩලය, n. white disk, viz. white of the eye, ඇසේ සුදු හරිය.

ශල්‍ය·වෛද්‍යාචාර්‍ය්‍යයා, n. surgeon, සල්ලවෙදා.

ශිලා·පට්ටය, n. stone plate, flat stone for grinding condiments upon, කහමිරිස්ගල.

ශස්‍ය, n. pl. cereals, all kinds of grain, ධාන්‍යජාති.

ශික්‍ෂා·පදය, n. (පදය verse or sentence), religious precept or institute, sp. those of Buddhism in metrical apnorisms.

ශක·වර්‍ෂය, n. ශක: a term applied to any king from the beginning of whose reign the years are reckoned, so that ශකවර්‍ෂය is the Saka year or era, of which in this කලියුගය there have been three, instituted severally by the kings යුධිෂ්ඨිර, වික්‍රමාදිත්‍ය, and ශාලිවාහන; this last is the present era which began A. D. 78.
