සාමරික, a. warlike, යුද්ධකාර.

ස්නේහය, n. affection, love, ප්‍රේමය; oil, grease, unguent, තෙල්, තෙල, තෛලම.

සටන, n. (cp. භඨ violence), battle, combat, war, යුද්ධය; conflict, contest, contention, පොරය.

සඟිය, n. (cp. සංගීතී), compilation, collection, සංග්‍රහය, sp. the five Sangis or divisions of Buddha's teachings, called දික්, මැදුම්, සංයුත්, අංගෝත්තර and කුදුගොත්. To these are added commentaries and glosses, and the difficult passages of these again are explained in other works called ග්‍රන්‍ථිපද, knotty passages.

සොසානික, a. fr. සුසාන: pert. to a cemetery, sepulchral, සොහොන්භූමියට අයත්.
