සැල, n. See සල: earthen pot or cooking vessel, සැළය; stone, rock, ගල; delay, ප්‍රමාදය; shaking, agitation, චංචලය.

සිද, a. සිදයා, n. E. of සිද්ධ and සිද්ධයා.

සංඛ·මුණ්ඩකය, n. (·මුඩ් to shave, bare), conch-shaving or baring, viz. one of the thirty-two punishments inflieted on criminals, rubbing the head with gravel till it is as bare of flesh as a conch shell.

ස්තූපය, n. (සුතූප් to heap up), heap, pile or mound (of earth), ගොඩ; B. monumeut for keeping sacred relics, dāgoba, = P. ථූප, tope.

සැරවෙනවා, v. i. to become severe or stronger (of diseases &c.), be severe with, scold.

සම්පලවය, n. (සං emp., ප්ලව plunging), inundation, ජලගැල්ම, see ප්ලවය.
