පරි·ශෝධනයකරනවා, v. t. to cleanse; correct, reform.

පර·ව, gram. outside of, having as a following letter or sound; p. pl. of පරවෙනවා: having faded.

ප්‍ර·භේදතාව, n. distinctness, separateness, වෙන්වූ ගතිය.

පසු·ගිය·අතර, පසු·ගිය‍·දා, ad. ph. formerly, lately, recently.

පොළ, n. spot (or cataract) on the eye, staphy loma; boil, tumour; eyeball, ඇස්ගුළිය; pl. පොළවල්.

පෝරු·දමනවා, v. to line with cloth &c., pad.

පට්ටිය, n. cattle-fold, pen, enclosure, yard; herd, ගවරැළ.

පල්ලක්කිය, n. palanquin, litter, දෝලාව.

පංච·මහා·පරිත්‍යාග, n. pl. H., the five principal surrenders or kinds of worship presented: to spirits, progenitors and gods by offerings, to the Vedas by study, and to mankind by hospitality; B., five offerings made by Buddha alone: eyes, flesh, blood, head, wife and children.

පරමාත්මය, n. (Sans. ·ආත්මන්,·ආත්මා), Supreme Spirit or Being from whom all other spirits have sprung and to whom at length, it is said, they will be re-united.
